It is done - almost!

So it is almost time for exams and the end of the first term.  Every year that I’m in university - and this is my fourth - the term goes by faster and faster.  This term, I would say, has been my most enjoyable, next only to my first year when I first experienced the wonder of university.  I’ve been challenged and miraculously met the challenge with great results.  I’m still torn between Medieval and Colonial Canada history, though I still need not make a decision just yet.  Of course picking one won’t mean forsaking the other as well.  This term I took a lot of courses: Medieval Christian thought (not as much work as I had thought it would be), Latin (a lot of work!), art history (more work than I anticipated), and Colonial Canada (just as I expected it).  So far I haven’t gotten a grade worse than a B, and in some I’ve gotten many As, even an A+.  Next term, however, will be a killer.  I have an honours course in Thomas Aquinas which will require at least 100 pages of reading per week with a final paper of 25 pages.  I will continue in my Latin, which will also be a good deal of work.  Hopefully I will be getting into a medieval lit class, but that’s still an “if”.  In case that falls through my other options are a religion course I’m not too sure I want to take, a Canadian archaeology class, the second half of art history, or just the two courses so I can focus on my Aquinas and Latin.  We shall see.

Coming up even sooner than that is my second trip to Montreal - just over a month!  It’ll be a nice break from the constant school work (which I of course love) and will give me some nice time with D.  Hopefully the weather will be more sunny than the last time we were there.
